Responsibilities
- Receive, organize, and file legal documents and case files in the courthouse archives.
- Greet visitors and answer phones, directing inquiries to the appropriate department or officer.
- Assist the public with accessing public records and filling out necessary forms accurately.
- Operate office equipment, including copiers, scanners, and basic computers.
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate databases of court proceedings and filings.
- Sort and distribute mail and internal correspondence efficiently.
- Ensure the courtroom and clerkβs office maintain a professional and organized environment.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Basic computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow strict procedures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
