Responsibilities
- Manage Records: Accurately file, organize, and maintain court records, legal documents, and case files in both physical and digital formats.
- Customer Service: Greet visitors, answer inquiries, and direct them to the appropriate departments with professionalism and courtesy.
- Data Entry: Perform high-speed data entry tasks using specialized case management software to update case statuses and generate legal documents.
- Phone Operations: Answer multi-line phone systems, screen calls, and take detailed messages or forward urgent requests to legal staff.
- Assist Judiciary: Support judges and attorneys by preparing docket sheets, scheduling hearings, and managing court calendars.
- Document Processing: Verify the authenticity of legal documents, issue subpoenas, and manage the issuance of licenses or permits as required.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience: Previous clerical or administrative experience is preferred but not required due to our paid training program.
- Skills: Basic computer proficiency and typing skills (40+ WPM) are essential.
- Reliability: Must possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Availability: Ability to work a standard full-time schedule (40 hours/week).
