Responsibilities
- Maintain Park Facilities: Perform routine landscaping, mowing, raking, trimming, and general grounds maintenance to ensure a safe and attractive environment.
- Clean & Sanitize: Clean park restrooms, picnic areas, playground equipment, and facilities to meet high standards of hygiene.
- Event Support: Assist in the set-up, breakdown, and supervision of recreational programs, sports leagues, and community events.
- Machinery Operation: Safely operate and maintain landscaping machinery, including mowers, trimmers, and vehicles.
- Public Interaction: Interact positively with residents and visitors, enforcing park rules and providing information as needed.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and report on the condition of equipment and supplies, requesting repairs or restocking as necessary.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Training: Must be willing and able to complete the required paid on-the-job training program.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions.
- License: Valid Driver’s License preferred; ability to operate a motor vehicle is required.
- Skills: Basic knowledge of landscaping or maintenance is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and a positive attitude.
