Responsibilities
- Landscape Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, trimming, weeding, and pruning of grass, flowers, and shrubs.
- Facility Upkeep: Sweep, clean, and maintain park facilities, restrooms, picnic areas, and playground equipment to ensure high standards of hygiene and safety.
- Safety Compliance: Monitor park activities to ensure compliance with safety regulations and city ordinances; respond to emergencies or accidents promptly.
- Customer Service: Interact with park visitors, answer inquiries, and assist with facility rentals or event setup.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform minor maintenance and cleaning of landscaping tools and equipment; report major repairs needed.
- Event Support: Assist in setting up and breaking down equipment for community events, sports leagues, and recreational programs.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience: Previous experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or customer service is preferred but not mandatory; on-the-job training provided.
- Licensure: Valid Florida Driverβs License with a satisfactory driving record required.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Skills: Basic knowledge of landscaping equipment and tools; ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
