Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance of park facilities including playgrounds, sports courts, and walking paths
- Operate and maintain landscaping equipment (mowers, trimmers, irrigation systems)
- Organize and supervise recreational programs for youth, adults, and seniors
- Enforce park safety regulations and provide visitor assistance
- Collaborate with community groups on special events and volunteer initiatives
- Monitor park conditions and report maintenance needs or safety concerns
- Assist in seasonal park beautification projects and facility upgrades
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in recreation management preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience in park maintenance, landscaping, or recreation services
- Valid California driver's license with clean driving record
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
- Basic knowledge of irrigation systems and horticulture practices
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings for events
