Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair park facilities, playgrounds, and athletic fields.
- Perform routine landscaping duties including mowing, trimming, and planting.
- Collect and empty trash and recyclables from park receptacles.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of recreational equipment and special events.
- Monitor park grounds for safety hazards and report issues to supervisors.
- Interact with the public and provide information regarding park activities and rules.
- Operate light maintenance equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and dump trucks.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid Ohio Driver’s License.
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, and working in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of landscaping or grounds maintenance practices.
- Strong commitment to public service and community engagement.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
