Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve parks, trails, athletic fields, and recreational facilities to ensure high-quality standards.
- Assist with the setup, operation, and breakdown of community events, festivals, and recreational programs.
- Perform routine landscaping, mowing, trimming, and irrigation maintenance to preserve green spaces.
- Enforce park rules and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for children, families, and visitors.
- Assist with the maintenance and cleaning of restrooms, shelters, and park pavilions.
- Operate light maintenance equipment and hand tools in a safe and efficient manner.
- Interact positively with the public, answering questions and providing excellent customer service.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds frequently.
- Valid Class C Texas Driver's License is preferred but not required.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed.
- Basic knowledge of landscaping practices, gardening, or general maintenance is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of people.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
