Responsibilities
- Maintain parks, trails, and athletic fields using department-provided equipment (mowers, trimmers, irrigation tools)
- Operate recreational facilities (shelters, pools, sports courts) following safety protocols
- Assist with event setup/breakdown using provided staging and audiovisual gear
- Conduct equipment inspections and report maintenance needs
- Support community outreach programs with department-provided materials
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards using supplied PPE
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Ability to operate heavy machinery (training provided)
- Basic knowledge of turf management and horticulture
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience with park maintenance equipment preferred
