Responsibilities
- Maintain park cleanliness through litter removal, waste management, and landscape upkeep
- Assist in setting up/breakdown for community events, festivals, and recreational programs
- Monitor park facilities to ensure safety and compliance with city regulations
- Operate maintenance equipment including mowers, trimmers, and hand tools
- Provide excellent customer service to park visitors and address inquiries
- Support seasonal projects including planting, irrigation checks, and habitat restoration
- Document maintenance activities and report facility concerns promptly
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant coursework in environmental science preferred
- Experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or outdoor maintenance (entry-level acceptable)
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends, evenings, and holidays
- Physical stamina for manual labor in varying weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of park safety protocols and equipment operation
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
- Valid driver's license may be required for equipment operation
- Must pass background check and drug screening
