Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair park facilities, including restrooms, playgrounds, athletic fields, and landscaping to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.
- Assist in the planning, setup, and execution of community events, festivals, and recreational programs.
- Perform routine groundskeeping duties, such as mowing, trimming, litter removal, and snow removal.
- Monitor park areas to enforce rules and regulations, ensuring the safety of all visitors.
- Operate and maintain light equipment, tools, and vehicles in accordance with safety standards.
- Interact positively with the public, providing information and assistance to visitors and community members.
- Report maintenance needs, safety hazards, or suspicious activities to the Parks Supervisor immediately.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Previous experience in parks and recreation, landscaping, or custodial work is preferred.
- Must be able to perform physical labor including walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs regularly.
- A valid Driverβs License and a clean driving record are required for this position.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
- Availability to work weekends, holidays, and evening shifts as needed.
