Responsibilities
- Maintain park grounds, athletic fields, and recreational facilities (mowing, irrigation, equipment repair)
- Organize and supervise youth/adult sports leagues, summer camps, and special events
- Enforce park safety protocols and provide visitor assistance
- Lead volunteer groups in conservation and beautification projects
- Operate recreational equipment and maintain inventory records
- Collaborate with community groups to develop inclusive programming
- Perform routine facility inspections and report maintenance needs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; college coursework in recreation management preferred
- 1+ years experience in park maintenance, event coordination, or customer service
- Valid Texas Class C Driver's License with clean driving record
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 60 days)
- Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions
- Strong communication skills with diverse populations
- Basic knowledge of turf management, horticulture, or sports field maintenance
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and operate power tools safely
