Responsibilities
- Maintain park grounds, athletic fields, and green spaces through mowing, pruning, and litter removal
- Operate and maintain recreational equipment (playgrounds, sports courts, shelters)
- Assist in park event setup and support community activities
- Conduct routine safety inspections and report maintenance needs
- Collaborate with landscaping and facilities teams on improvement projects
- Engage with park visitors and provide courteous information
- Adhere to safety protocols and environmental standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1+ years of grounds maintenance or recreation experience preferred
- Valid Tennessee driver's license with clean record
- Ability to perform physical labor in varying weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of park maintenance equipment (mowers, trimmers)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Pass background check and drug screening
