Responsibilities
- Maintain athletic fields, playgrounds, and landscaping through mowing, trimming, and general upkeep.
- Perform routine cleaning of restrooms, picnic areas, and park facilities to ensure high sanitation standards.
- Assist with the setup, operation, and teardown of recreational events, festivals, and sports leagues.
- Conduct basic facility inspections to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards.
- Operate and maintain light equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and hand tools safely and efficiently.
- Interact with the public in a friendly and professional manner, providing information and assistance as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Physical ability to perform heavy manual labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of landscaping, gardening, or general maintenance practices.
- Valid driver’s license (Class C) and a clean driving record are often required.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety protocols.
