Responsibilities
- Process and maintain digital and physical records with strict confidentiality protocols
- Manage departmental calendars, scheduling appointments, and coordinating meeting logistics
- Assist with data entry and report generation using Microsoft Office Suite
- Respond to public inquiries via phone, email, and in-person with professional courtesy
- Support budget tracking and procurement documentation processes
- Distribute communications, memos, and informational materials to stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on special projects and initiatives
- Adhere to all state government policies and procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework preferred
- Minimum 1 year administrative or customer service experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to pass required background checks
- Basic knowledge of Texas government operations a plus
