Responsibilities
- Manage incoming inquiries via phone and email, directing them to the appropriate department with professionalism.
- Perform high-volume data entry and maintain accurate digital and physical records for county operations.
- Assist in the preparation of meeting agendas, official correspondence, and meeting minutes.
- Process and verify documents for strict compliance with local, state, and federal government regulations.
- Coordinate schedules for department supervisors and assist with travel arrangements when necessary.
- Operate office equipment, including printers, scanners, and fax machines, ensuring proper maintenance.
- Assist in the organization and filing of public records and confidential files.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an administrative or clerical role, preferably within a government or public sector setting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong typing speed (minimum 45 WPM) and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-centric approach.
- Ability to pass a standard background check, drug screening, and fingerprinting process.
