Responsibilities
- Deliver and collect mail along assigned urban or rural routes using USPS vehicles or foot delivery
- Sort and organize mail efficiently according to postal regulations and delivery sequences
- Provide excellent customer service while handling mail inquiries and special deliveries
- Maintain accurate delivery records and report any mail irregularities or hazards
- Safely operate USPS vehicles following all traffic laws and safety protocols
- Perform basic mail processing duties at the post office when not on delivery route
- Adhere to strict time management and punctuality standards for daily deliveries
Qualifications
- US citizenship or permanent resident status with valid work authorization
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record (minimum 2 years)
- Ability to lift mail trays weighing up to 70 pounds repeatedly
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex delivery instructions
- Basic computer literacy for USPS systems and digital scanning devices
- Reliable transportation to and from the post office facility
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
