Responsibilities
- Deliver mail and parcels to residential and business addresses along an assigned route
- Sort and organize mail according to delivery sequence and postal regulations
- Operate delivery vehicles safely and maintain accurate mileage records
- Collect outgoing mail and postage payments from customers
- Report unusual conditions, hazards, or customer concerns along delivery routes
- Maintain proper security protocols for mail and postal equipment
- Perform basic equipment maintenance and notify supervisors of repair needs
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Valid state driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds repeatedly
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods in various weather conditions
- Basic computer literacy for mail processing systems
- Pass background check and pre-employment drug screening
