Responsibilities
- Process and manage veteran benefit applications with precision and confidentiality
- Coordinate scheduling and correspondence for department leadership
- Maintain accurate electronic and physical records in compliance with federal regulations
- Assist with data entry, report generation, and document preparation
- Provide frontline support to veterans and their families via phone and in-person inquiries
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on administrative projects
- Ensure all tasks adhere to VA protocols and privacy standards
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Minimum 1 year administrative/clerical experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal background clearance
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Experience working with veterans or military families preferred
- Ability to work 20-25 hours per week with flexible scheduling
