Responsibilities
- Analyze complex federal datasets using SQL, Python, and R to identify trends and support veteran service initiatives
- Create interactive dashboards and visualizations using Tableau/Power BI for stakeholder reporting
- Ensure compliance with federal data security protocols (FISMA, HIPAA) and privacy regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into data solutions
- Document data processes and maintain metadata repositories for audit readiness
- Present findings to senior leadership using executive-level storytelling techniques
- Support continuous improvement of data quality and analytics infrastructure
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 2+ years of professional data analysis experience with federal data systems
- Proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy), and statistical analysis tools
- Experience with data visualization platforms (Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent)
- Familiarity with federal reporting requirements and data governance standards
- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to communicate complex findings clearly
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain federal background clearance
