Responsibilities
- Analyze federal healthcare datasets to identify trends and anomalies using SQL/Python
- Create interactive dashboards for VA leadership using Tableau/Power BI
- Ensure data integrity across federal reporting systems (HIPAA/FERPA compliant)
- Support grant allocation studies through statistical modeling and visualization
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize data workflows
- Document methodologies and maintain audit-ready data trails
- Present findings to senior stakeholders through executive summaries
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, or related field
- 2+ years experience with federal data systems (VA, CMS, HHS preferred)
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python/R for data manipulation
- Expertise in Tableau/Power BI for federal reporting visualization
- Strong understanding of 21st Century CURES Act and HIPAA compliance
- Ability to work 20-25 flexible hours weekly (evenings/weekends possible)
- Active federal security clearance or ability to obtain
- Experience with encrypted data handling protocols
