Responsibilities
- Review and process pension applications and retirement requests for federal employees with precision and timeliness.
- Provide expert guidance to federal staff regarding Thrift Savings Plans (TSP), retirement eligibility, and survivor benefits.
- Conduct audits of pension records to ensure compliance with federal regulations and internal policies.
- Communicate complex pension information clearly and concisely via phone, email, and in-person meetings.
- Collaborate with HR teams and federal agency representatives to resolve benefit discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all pension transactions and employee inquiries.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in pension administration, benefits management, or a related financial field.
- Familiarity with federal retirement systems (FERS, CSRS) is highly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to detect errors in complex financial data.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS software.
- Able to work part-time hours (e.g., 20-25 hours per week) with a flexible schedule.
