Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive research on federal regulations and policies impacting California state agencies.
- Prepare and review federal grant proposals and inter-agency memorandums of understanding.
- Coordinate with federal stakeholders to ensure alignment on project milestones and reporting requirements.
- Manage and analyze data sets related to federal funding allocations and state expenditure reporting.
- Assist in the development of compliance documentation and internal policy updates.
- Participate in interdepartmental meetings to advocate for state interests at the federal level.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in federal contracting, government relations, or public administration.
- Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to pass a background investigation.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a focus on clarity and conciseness.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
