Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate filing systems, including both physical and digital records, ensuring data integrity and easy accessibility for staff and the public.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering phones, greeting visitors, and responding to inquiries regarding county services and procedures in a professional and courteous manner.
- Perform data entry tasks with a high degree of accuracy, including updating databases, processing forms, and preparing reports.
- Assist senior staff with scheduling appointments, coordinating meetings, and preparing meeting agendas and minutes.
- Distribute and collect inter-departmental correspondence and memos in a timely and organized fashion.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring compliance with all safety and security protocols.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; additional coursework in business administration or public administration is a plus.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an administrative or clerical role, preferably within a government or non-profit environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with government database systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse populations.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening as required by county policy.
