Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation, formatting, and filing of legal and administrative documents and correspondence.
- Manage incoming inquiries via phone, email, and in-person, routing them to the appropriate staff members efficiently.
- Maintain accurate and organized records in the departmental database and filing systems.
- Support senior staff with data entry, research, and the preparation of meeting agendas and minutes.
- Coordinate and schedule hearings, appointments, and travel arrangements for the office.
- Ensure strict confidentiality and compliance with New York State government regulations and office protocols.
- Perform general clerical duties including scanning, photocopying, and mail distribution.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate's Degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience in a government, legal, or corporate environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and basic computer skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional demeanor.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Valid New York State driver's license is preferred but not mandatory.
