Responsibilities
- Analyze legislative proposals and regulatory compliance documents
- Prepare detailed policy briefs and recommendation memos for senior leadership
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement public programs
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative research using government databases
- Present findings at public hearings and stakeholder meetings
- Maintain accurate records of all policy analysis activities
- Support budget formulation processes for departmental initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- Minimum 2 years experience in government or policy analysis
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SPSS, or R)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of California state government procedures
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Valid California driver's license
- U.S. citizenship required for security clearance
