Responsibilities
- Process Pension Contributions: Accurately calculate and process monthly pension contributions from active and retired employees.
- Member Inquiries: Provide exceptional customer service to retirees and active staff regarding benefit eligibility, vesting, and payout options.
- Regulatory Compliance: Audit pension records to ensure adherence to state and federal government regulations and internal policies.
- Record Management: Maintain and update confidential digital and physical records using secure government databases.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the HR and Payroll departments to resolve discrepancies and streamline administrative processes.
- Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual reports regarding pension fund status and member statistics.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Business, Finance, or Human Resources preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in pension administration, government HR, or financial data processing is highly desirable.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and government-specific software is a plus.
- Attention to Detail: Must possess a high level of accuracy when handling sensitive financial data and personal information.
- Availability: Must be available to work a part-time schedule (approx. 20-25 hours per week).
