Responsibilities
- Maintain and organize official city records according to Texas Public Information Act standards
- Process public record requests using city document management systems
- Digitize and archive physical documents with metadata accuracy Assist internal departments with record retrieval and compliance audits
- Prepare regular inventory reports for records retention schedules
- Provide courteous and efficient service to public information requesters
- Collaborate with records management team on process improvements
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework in records management preferred
- 1+ years experience with document management systems (e.g., Docuware, Laserfiche)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong attention to detail with organizational skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Valid Texas driver's license (required for occasional off-site records retrieval)
- U.S. citizenship or legal authorization to work
