Responsibilities
- Maintain and digitize confidential government records with 99.9% accuracy
- Process public information requests following Nebraska state statutes
- Coordinate with multiple departments for document retrieval and archiving
- Implement secure file management protocols compliant with federal regulations
- Assist in records retention policy development and implementation
- Train staff on document management systems and procedures
- Generate monthly compliance reports for audit purposes
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Public Administration or related field
- 2+ years records management or government experience
- Proficiency in document management systems (e.g., Docuware, Laserfiche)
- Knowledge of Nebraska public records laws (Neb. Rev. Stat. 84-712)
- Strong attention to detail with proven accuracy in data handling
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Valid Nebraska driver's license and reliable transportation
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass federal background check
