Responsibilities
- Research and identify relevant grant opportunities from private foundations, government agencies, and corporate sponsors
- Develop persuasive grant proposals and compelling narratives aligned with funder priorities
- Manage grant application processes including budgets, timelines, and compliance requirements
- Cultivate relationships with program staff to gather program data and impact metrics
- Maintain accurate grant databases and reporting systems for funded projects
- Prepare progress reports and financial documentation for funders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Non-Profit Management, or related field
- 3+ years of grant writing experience with non-profit or community-based organizations
- Proven track record of securing $500k+ in annual grant funding
- Exceptional writing skills with ability to translate complex programs into compelling stories
- Proficiency in grant management databases (e.g., Salesforce, GrantHub)
- Strong research skills with knowledge of local San Antonio philanthropic landscape
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a part-time capacity
