Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2 technical support and troubleshooting for federal employees via helpdesk ticketing systems.
- Manage hardware inventory, including laptops, printers, and peripherals, ensuring proper configuration and security compliance.
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems (Windows) and standard productivity software.
- Ensure all IT activities comply with federal regulations and agency security policies (e.g., NIST, FISMA).
- Document all support tickets, resolutions, and system changes accurately in the CMDB.
- Collaborate with the full-time team to implement best practices for system uptime and user efficiency.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support, preferably within a government or contract environment.
- Eligibility to obtain a Public Trust or Secret clearance (or willingness to undergo a background investigation).
- Proficiency in Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office Suite, and Active Directory concepts.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to diagnose complex technical issues quickly.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with diverse stakeholders.
