Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2 technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues via remote helpdesk tools.
- Manage and track IT service requests and tickets within the State’s enterprise ticketing system.
- Assist in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of desktop environments and peripherals.
- Ensure compliance with state cybersecurity protocols and data privacy regulations.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify technical requirements and provide solutions.
- Perform routine system backups and patch management to ensure system stability.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support, help desk, or a related technical role.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems, Office Suite, and common productivity software.
- Experience with remote access tools (e.g., TeamViewer, AnyDesk) and VPN configurations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a remote setting.
