Responsibilities
- Enforce New York City parking rules, regulations, and traffic laws with accuracy and fairness.
- Issue parking citations, notices, and warnings to vehicle owners in a professional manner.
- Monitor and manage parking meters, loading zones, and special permit areas.
- Interact with the public to answer inquiries regarding parking violations and payment options.
- Maintain accurate records of citations issued and resolve disputes as necessary.
- Collaborate with fellow enforcement agents and city officials to improve traffic safety.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) is required.
- Must be a current resident of New York City.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, up to 8 hours a day.
- Must possess a valid New York State Driverβs License.
- Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry and record keeping.
