Responsibilities
- Manage pension plan enrollment, eligibility verification, and benefit calculations
- Process retirement applications and distribute accurate benefit statements
- Ensure compliance with ERISA, IRS regulations, and Kentucky state pension laws
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding retirement planning and pension options
- Maintain accurate participant records using government financial systems
- Collaborate with finance team on annual plan audits and reporting
- Assist in developing educational materials for retirement planning workshops
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in pension administration or benefits management
- Certified Pension Administrator (CPA) or CEBS designation preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and pension management software
- Strong understanding of retirement plan regulations and compliance
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to financial detail
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Effective communication skills for stakeholder interactions
