Responsibilities
- Answer and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls with accuracy and composure
- Dispatch police units using CAD systems during critical incidents
- Provide life-saving instructions to callers in emergency situations
- Maintain detailed logs and reports of all communications
- Coordinate with multiple agencies during crisis scenarios
- Operate radio equipment and computer-aided dispatch systems
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and procedural protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Basic computer literacy and typing proficiency (40 WPM)
- Ability to remain calm under high-pressure situations
- Clear communication skills in English (bilingual Spanish a plus)
- Pass background check and pre-employment screening
- Must be 18+ years old and legally eligible to work in the US
- No felony convictions
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights/weekends
