Responsibilities
- Process 911 calls, prioritize emergencies, and dispatch appropriate emergency services
- Operate radio systems and CAD (Computer-Aided Dispatch) software with accuracy
- Provide clear, concise information to officers in the field during critical incidents
- Maintain detailed logs of all communications and activities
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during disasters or large-scale events
- Remain calm under extreme pressure while making life-or-death decisions
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM with 95% accuracy
- Ability to pass extensive background check and drug screening
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- US citizenship or legal authorization to work
- Ability to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic computer proficiency and technical aptitude
- No felony convictions or serious misdemeanor offenses
