Responsibilities
- Process 911 calls with speed and accuracy during emergency situations
- Dispatch police, fire, and EMS units using CAD/RMS systems
- Maintain detailed logs of all communications and incident reports
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Provide clear, concise instructions to callers during emergencies
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and HIPAA protocols
- Complete ongoing training to maintain certification standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Basic computer proficiency with ability to learn CAD/RMS systems
- Exceptional communication and multitasking abilities
- Ability to remain calm under high-pressure situations
- Valid Tennessee driver's license (required within 30 days)
- No criminal record (background check required)
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM (tested during application)
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights/weekends
