Responsibilities
- Process 911 calls with precision and empathy, gathering critical information during high-stress situations
- Operate CAD/RMS systems to dispatch emergency services and maintain real-time incident tracking
- Coordinate multi-agency responses including fire, EMS, and law enforcement units
- Maintain accurate call logs and documentation according to department protocols
- Provide pre-arrival instructions to callers during medical emergencies
- Monitor radio channels and maintain constant situational awareness
- Adhere to all federal and state communication regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college preferred)
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Clear criminal background and drug-free certification
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Ability to pass multi-panel psychological evaluation
- Valid Oregon driver's license
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Experience in customer service or crisis communication
