Responsibilities
- Process emergency/non-emergency calls with precision and empathy
- Dispatch police, fire, and EMS units using CAD/RADAR systems
- Maintain accurate call logs and incident documentation
- Operate multi-channel radio equipment during critical incidents
- Provide critical information to first responders and public
- Adhere to NLETS and NCIC protocols for sensitive data
- Complete mandatory dispatcher certification training
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Minimum 18 years of age at time of hire
- Clear criminal background check (no felony convictions)
- Ability to pass drug screening and psychological evaluation
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Valid Florida Driver's License
- U.S. citizenship or legal resident status
- Fluency in English (bilingual Spanish a plus)
