Responsibilities
- Process 911 and non-emergency calls with exceptional speed and accuracy
- Dispatch police officers, fire, and medical units using CAD/RMS systems
- Maintain precise radio communications during high-pressure situations
- Enter/update critical incident data in real-time databases
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during emergencies
- Provide pre-arrival medical instructions via telephone
- Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols for sensitive information
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM (verified certificate)
- Clear background check and drug-free record
- Basic computer literacy with Windows OS proficiency
- Ability to multitask in high-stress environments
- Excellent verbal communication skills in English
- Valid California driver's license
- Ability to work rotating shifts/nights/weekends
