Responsibilities
- Process and catalog public records requests in accordance with Colorado Revised Statutes
- Maintain digital and physical archives with strict confidentiality protocols
- Coordinate with state agencies for document certification and verification
- Assist in FOIA request fulfillment within federal compliance timelines
- Generate accurate statistical reports for departmental audits
- Train volunteers on records management procedures
- Update records database with metadata for cross-agency accessibility
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college preferred
- 1+ years records management or administrative experience
- Proficiency in records management software (e.g., Laserfiche, DocuWare)
- Knowledge of Colorado Open Records Act (CORA) and FOIA regulations
- Excellent attention to detail with zero-error document handling
- Ability to pass federal background check and security clearance
- Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize multiple requests
