Responsibilities
- Manage and organize official county records with meticulous attention to detail
- Process public information requests following Nebraska Sunshine Law protocols
- Assist with document scanning, indexing, and digital archiving
- Provide courteous support to citizens and staff at the public records counter
- Maintain accurate filing systems for legal, financial, and administrative documents
- Collaborate with department heads on records retention policies
- Utilize county software systems for record-keeping and retrieval
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework preferred
- Minimum 1 year records management or administrative experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
- Knowledge of public records management principles
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to pass required background check
- Nebraska residency required
