- Operate X-ray machines and walk-through metal detectors to screen passengers and carry-on baggage
- Perform physical pat-downs and baggage inspections as required by security protocols
- Verify travel documents and boarding passes against passenger identities
- Respond to security alarms and resolve potential threats with calm professionalism
- Enforce TSA regulations and provide clear instructions to travelers
- Maintain detailed documentation of security incidents and screening activities
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during emergency situations
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass background investigation and drug screening
- Valid government-issued photo ID (driver's license or passport)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong communication skills in English (bilingual Spanish a plus)
