Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough passenger and baggage screening at security checkpoints using advanced X-ray equipment and manual inspection techniques
- Identify and report prohibited items according to TSA protocols and federal regulations
- Provide exceptional customer service to travelers while maintaining security standards
- Operate and maintain screening equipment with precision and efficiency
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel to resolve security incidents
- Document security activities and maintain accurate records in TSA systems
- Participate in continuous training to stay updated on security procedures and technologies
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screening
- Valid U.S. driver's license (if required for shift assignments)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
