Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on baggage using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and advanced imaging technology
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and baggage inspections per TSA protocols
- Monitor security checkpoints and identify prohibited items in compliance with federal regulations
- Provide exceptional customer service to diverse travelers while maintaining professional demeanor
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate operational records
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during security alerts or suspicious activity
- Participate in mandatory training sessions and security drills
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or legal permanent resident status
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background investigation and drug screening
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 70 pounds
- Basic computer literacy and ability to learn security screening systems
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Valid U.S. driver's license and reliable transportation
