Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray machines and walk-through metal detectors to screen passengers and carry-on baggage
- Conduct physical pat-down searches and baggage inspections to detect prohibited items
- Verify passenger identification and boarding documents against flight manifests
- Respond to security alerts and coordinate with law enforcement when necessary
- Maintain accurate documentation of screening activities and security incidents
- Provide courteous customer service while enforcing security protocols
- Participate in continuous training on security procedures and threat detection
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screening
- Valid state driver's license
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Basic computer proficiency with ability to learn TSA systems
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
