Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough passenger and baggage screening using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and manual inspection techniques
- Identify and resolve security threats through advanced detection protocols and behavioral observation
- Perform pat-down searches and explosive trace detection as required by security protocols
- Maintain accurate documentation of screening activities and security incidents
- Provide exceptional customer service to diverse travelers while enforcing TSA regulations
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security incidents
- Operate and maintain complex security screening equipment in accordance with TSA standards
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship (mandatory requirement)
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Ability to pass rigorous background investigation and drug screening
- Must be at least 18 years old and possess valid government-issued ID
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in high-pressure environments
- Proficient in English (written and verbal)
- Must complete TSA-certified training program within 6 months of hire
