Responsibilities
- Deliver and collect mail along an assigned city route using authorized postal vehicles
- Sort and organize mail efficiently according to delivery sequences and postal regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery records and report irregularities or damaged mail
- Operate delivery vehicles safely and adhere to all traffic laws and USPS policies
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with residents and business owners
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report mechanical issues
- Adhere to strict security protocols for handling sensitive mail materials
Qualifications
- Valid state driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds repeatedly and stand/walk for extended periods
- U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic computer literacy for using USPS tracking systems
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently in all weather conditions
- High school diploma or equivalent required
