Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver mail and packages to residential and business addresses along assigned routes
- Sort, organize, and prepare mail for daily delivery according to USPS standards
- Operate delivery vehicles safely and adhere to all traffic regulations
- Provide excellent customer service while interacting with the public during delivery operations
- Maintain accurate delivery records and report any irregularities or service issues
- Operate and maintain delivery equipment including vehicles, carts, and sorting machinery
- Adhere to all USPS safety protocols and procedures at all times
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old and a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- Valid state driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds repeatedly and stand/walk for extended periods
- Basic computer literacy for mail processing systems and route management
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex delivery instructions
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and navigate urban environments
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Ability to work weekends and holidays as required by USPS delivery schedules
