Responsibilities
- Sort and Distribute: Sort incoming mail and packages efficiently according to routes and delivery addresses.
- Deliver Mail: Transport and deliver mail to residential and business customers in a safe, timely, and courteous manner.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers to resolve inquiries and ensure high levels of satisfaction.
- Physical Stamina: Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting packages weighing up to 70 lbs, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Equipment Operation: Operate delivery vehicles, handheld scanning devices, and other postal equipment accurately.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations, traffic laws, and postal policies to ensure a secure work environment.
- Route Management: Manage time effectively to meet delivery deadlines and maintain high productivity levels.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen or have permanent resident status.
- Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license is required.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Physical Ability: Must be physically capable of performing the essential functions of the job, including lifting and carrying.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to read and interpret delivery instructions.
