Responsibilities
- Oversee the nightly processing of pension contributions, withdrawals, and benefit calculations.
- Conduct rigorous audits of retirement account data to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations (ERISA).
- Resolve complex inquiries from state employees and retirees regarding pension eligibility and vesting.
- Maintain and update the state pension database with high data integrity standards.
- Collaborate with the day shift team to troubleshoot system issues and escalate critical cases.
- Prepare detailed reports on night shift performance and error rates.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll administration, pension management, or government finance.
- Must be available to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM).
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and ERISA-compliant pension software.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to handle sensitive financial data with discretion.
